Please read this page before proceeding
Once we have set up the SIAAM system for your site/premises, we provide you with a main QR code to display in your reception area and/or your H&S notice board. We also provide you with your own link that can be sent to contractors in advance of them attending your premises as well as to other parties who may have need to access to your building information and data.
In addition to the main QR code, we can, as part of the contract, place a unique QR on each location/building entrance, we can even set this up on a room by room basis if required. When the main code is scanned, the user can then access the location/data selection page, where a building or room location is scanned, specific data will be displayed for that location, such as whether there is asbestos, in which area, what the product is etc.
For security, we can set a requirement to enter a password to access the data and information for any or all of the QR codes, this password can be user defined. Should there be an issue with people using cameras on site, such as military locations, high security, schools etc. we can also embed an NFC chip so any NFC enabled device can access the data without activating their camera.
Each data page also includes a "report button", this can be used for persons to report suspected damage or a previously un-reported, suspected asbestos materials. The destination when the "report button" is pressed can be user defined, this could be to allow the user to call a pre-set mobile or landline phone number, we can also insert a further button that can be used to send an email or we can set up a secure social media channel using 'WhatsApp' where images of damaged/suspected materials can be sent and shared. ​
A further option is to have the "report button" directed to SIAAM where we offer a 24 hour monitoring and response service.
Throughout the pages you will be viewing, you will see these yellow boxes, they are there to provide instruction and information and need not necessarily be present in the live system if not required. We do offer a brief overview of using the system for use in inductions and pre-use visits.
